Face-Towel Cost Calculator
Compare cash cost over the same time period. Enter your own prices; no entered value is sent to analytics. Named scenarios stay in this browser.
What a scenario represents
Enter the price and usable count for a pack of dry disposable sheets, the number of sheets you personally expect to use each day, and the price and quantity of a reusable set. The reusable set count helps you judge whether that inventory is practical; it does not reduce the purchase price. Enter how many months you expect one set to stay in use, your estimated laundering cash cost over that replacement period, and a separate comparison horizon. The tool counts a new set whenever another replacement period begins.
For example, a six-month replacement assumption compared over twelve months means two set purchases. A twelve-month replacement assumption compared over six months means one set purchase, not half a set. The tool spreads entered laundry cost across the months used. It does not predict how long a real set will last, and it cannot know whether you already own some towels. Change those assumptions to examine how much the result depends on them.
Reading the result
Monthly and annual amounts are arithmetic rates; the horizon total is the cash estimate for the chosen period. A break-even date is shown only when the entered disposable daily cost exceeds the reusable laundry cost per day and the initial set pays back before its assumed replacement. If that condition fails, “no break-even” does not mean the reusable option is worse in every respect. It means the simple first-cycle cash threshold is not established by these numbers.
Saved scenarios let you compare your own alternatives, such as different pack sizes or different replacement assumptions. Keep scenarios in the same currency if you want to compare their amounts directly. Selecting GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, EUR or USD changes formatting only; the tool never converts an amount. Prices and scenario names stay in local storage until you delete them or clear this site’s browser data.
