Makeup-Remover Pads guide
How many reusable remover pads do you need until laundry is ready?
Plan reusable remover-pad stock from your chosen uses and the time washed pads become fully dry. Use an event record rather than a universal pack-size rule.
Count demand until washed pads are ready to use again. The important moment is completed drying, not the time a wash starts. Your chosen number of pads per occasion, timing of laundry and optional spare stock determine the plan; a three-, seven- or ten-pad pack does not prescribe a routine.
Define a planning event
An event is an occasion when you choose to take clean pads from ready stock. Write down how many you intend to use for that occasion under the item's instructions. Events can differ: one may use one pad, another two, and some days none. This is a stock record, not advice about how often to cleanse or change a pad.
Only return pads to ready stock after their permitted care and drying are complete. Pads waiting for laundry, in a machine or still drying are unavailable. If a load is ready after an evening event, it cannot supply that earlier event.
Work through a fictional sequence
Suppose someone chooses the following pattern, with no pads returning until after the fifth event. The quantities are invented and are not a recommended use or wash schedule.
| Event | Pads taken | Cumulative pads needed before any return |
|---|---|---|
| First occasion | 1 | 1 |
| Second occasion | 2 | 3 |
| Third occasion | 0 | 3 |
| Fourth occasion | 1 | 4 |
| Fifth occasion | 2 | 6 |
Six ready pads cover those planned withdrawals. Choosing one additional spare makes the example stock seven. That spare is a preference, not a hygiene requirement. If two pads become ready before the fifth event, the sequence changes; record their actual return before subtracting that event's demand.
Track the running stock when batches overlap
For each event, start with the previous ready stock, add pads whose care is complete before that event, then subtract the planned withdrawal. A negative balance identifies an availability gap. It does not tell you to reuse an item contrary to its instructions.
You can address a gap by changing a feasible laundry completion time, choosing a different permitted arrangement for that occasion, or adding the missing stock. Start with the pads you already own. Buying a large pack is only one possible response.
Record uncertainty instead of hiding it in a drying estimate
If you do not know when a batch will be fully dry, mark that return as unconfirmed. Do not assume that a fibre name or a mesh holder establishes a fixed number of hours. For travel, include the journey home and the point at which care can actually be completed.
Use the event record below to write a short sequence. It does not calculate a recommended washing interval or predict drying. Keep uncertain returns out of the confirmed ready-stock count.
Record your next pad-use and ready-stock events
Start with clean, fully dry stock. Add returns only when care is complete before the event. Record your chosen use; this sheet does not prescribe washing frequency or predict drying.
Blank means unrecorded, not approved. Entries stay in this page instance only; nothing is saved automatically or sent to analytics. Reset clears this record. Printed copies reflect the entries at that time.

Manual check: previous ready stock + confirmed returns before this event − pads taken. A negative balance marks a planned gap, not permission to skip the item's care.
Translate the shortfall into a purchase question
After counting current ready pads and confirmed returns, identify any maximum shortfall in your sequence. Compare that gap with pack contents, storage and care. A seven-pad set can be a convenient sale format without being the right quantity for your routine. Use the washing guide and storage guide for the steps that make stock ready. Use this record for the count and timing.
